Verse for the Day

It’s the devil not the person.
May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us!
Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Out of My sight, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”‘ Matthew 16:23 NIV
I have read this verse several times and always felt sorry for Peter, until
this last time. Jesus did not say, Get thee behind Me Peter.’ He said ‘Satan.’ Poor Peter thought he was doing the right thing. The devil was using
Peter to distract Jesus from His mission. Jesus knew that it was not Peter who was trying to prevent Him from finishing His mission. He knew it
was the devil. When people close to you appear as if they are angry at
you or try to hurt you; it’s not them but the devil. This is why we can pray for our enemies and those that harm us. Pray that the devil will leave
them alone; that they will not listen to the devil but to Jesus. May we
focus on the things of God and not men. Our reward is in Heaven. We are on a journey to Heaven, where we do not need anything from this earth. Remember – Do not go to church on Sunday; go to worship. Happy
mothers’ day to all the mothers!
Have a Blessed Day! Follow Him! One Less Day to Go!
